Available in our Accessories shop.
4. Insert the battery into the terminal
Insert battery.
Only start the terminal with the battery inserted by pressing the OK button.
(Important: DO NOT PLACE ON THE BASE. The terminal will not start automatically after the battery has been inserted)Does the terminal start?
YES --> Battery is inserted correctly.
NO --> Repeat the insertion process and try to start the terminal via OK.After starting, place the terminal on the charging cradle. There is a double beep (short low beep followed by
followed by a short high-pitched beep). After the beep signal, contact is established between the terminal, battery and charging cradle and the battery is charged.
It can take up to 5 hours to fully charge the battery, depending on how deeply discharged the battery is.When inserting the battery, make sure that the contacts of the battery are connected to the contacts of the terminal. If the terminal is connected with a USB cable or directly via the base and displays "Battery empty, please wait", then the contacts of the battery are not connected to those of the terminal. If the terminal does not respond to pressing the OK button, condensation may have formed on the battery contacts. Remove the battery and try again. Please note:If the terminal is stored for longer than two months, please remove the battery from the device. Only use the original battery intended for the Ingenico Move series.
5. Terminal power on/off and soft reset
To switch on, place the terminal on the powered base (charging cradle) or press the [OK] confirmation button.
To switch off the terminal, press the [CLR] and the dot key [.] simultaneously for approx. 2 seconds.
The terminal must not be placed on the charging cradle. For a soft reset, press the correction button [CLR] and the dot key [.]. Then wait 5 seconds and press [OK] or place the terminal on the base. The device will then restart. A soft reset can sometimes be necessary and helpful, e.g. to restore the WLAN or mobile phone connection and in the event of "functional difficulties" with the terminal.
Please note:Charge the battery for at least 16 hours after inserting it for the first time. This ensures a long battery life.
If the terminal displays "Charging battery" after you have plugged it into the charging station, the contacts of the battery are not correctly connected to those of the terminal. Unplug the battery and plug it in again.
6. Establish connection
To use your terminal to its full extent, you need a stable Internet connection. To do this, connect your terminal either via mobile network, WLAN or Ethernet.
As soon as your terminal is switched on and booted up, the start display will show "Initializing". Press the confirmation button [OK] and then 2x function key [F] on the numeric keypad of the terminal. (Alternatively, 3x function key [F] can be pressed three times)
Then enter "54" for the function code.
Then enter the merchant password (12345) and select "RDT assistant" (RDT = remote data transmission).
Finally, select how your terminal should establish a connection with the PAYONE servers.
6.1 Operation via mobile network
If you have selected "Mobile network" as the connection, the terminal automatically recognizes the PAYONE multi-network SIM card supplied and already installed. If you are not using a PAYONE multi-network SIM card, please contact our customer service.
The terminal may restart after the last confirmation.
The connection via the mobile network is active if at least one green bar is visible in the marked area (see fig.).
6.2 Operation via WLAN
To transfer data in your WLAN, you need to log in in the immediate vicinity of your router. You will need the following information to log in:
WLAN name (SSID)
This is the name with which your network registers via the radio link.WLAN key (WPA2)
This key is usually written on the back of the router. It ensures that no one can gain unauthorized access to your network.IP address query (DHCP)
This is the location in the network on which the terminal operates.
The terminal may restart after the last confirmation.
6.3 Operation via Ethernet
Operation via an Ethernet cable on the base enables an alternative wired connection via your LAN. The terminal itself is connected to the base via Bluetooth and thus establishes a connection to the Internet.
To do this, select the Ethernet function in the terminal. No additional passwords or information are required here.
If the terminal loses the connection, perform a soft reset on the terminal.
You can see whether the wireless connection is active by the green Ethernet symbol and the green Bluetooth symbol.
7. Initialization
Initialization logs the terminal onto the network computer.
It is then fully functional.
* Default cashier password
56789
Please change the password when registering for the first time.
Please note:At the end of the initial initialization, your terminal will restart. After this, the message "Initialization successful" appears. If this is not the case, please contact our Customer service.
8. Security and privacy
We recommend the following security measures for the secure operation of your terminal via WLAN (see point 6.2): Transaction data (e.g. bank details, card numbers, etc.) must be protected against access by unauthorized third parties during transmission via WLAN. The use of the terminal in an unencrypted environment, e.g. in hotspots or with a WLAN router without encryption, is not permitted.
The WPA2 encryption method should be used. Only if the router does not support WPA2 can the less secure WPA method be used (in this case, regular key changes are recommended).
The use of WEP64 or WEP128 is not permitted.
The WLAN router must be operated securely:
Select the WLAN name/SSID so that no conclusions can be drawn about the router type or the operator of the WLAN.
Reassign the preset password for configuring the router (via LAN cable to the PC).
Use a WPA2 network key with at least 16 characters.
Please note:If you switch your router to WPA2, all devices already connected to the network must support WPA2 (conversion may be necessary). (Usually older) devices that do not support WPA2 can then no longer be operated in the WLAN.

Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)
DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion) offers international customers the opportunity to pay directly in their home currency - at the current daily exchange rate.
How DCC works:
Automatic card recognition

On the screen, customers can choose whether they want to pay with DCC directly in their home currency or without DCC in the local currency. You have nothing else to do
For you, the payment processes remain as simple as ever. And thanks to billing in the desired merchant currency, there is no additional work for your accounting department.
- Safety instructions & cleaning
Checklist for retailers at the point of sale (POS)
Always let the customer read the amount or check it again yourself to detect keystroke errors before completing the card payment.Always compare the signature on the receipt with the signature on the card. Please check the validity period of the card based on the card embossing. If only one date is indicated, the card is valid until this date.Use the UV security features on credit cards - if no UV security features are visible under UV light, the credit card is most likely counterfeit.Make sure that your customers can enter their PIN/secret number undisturbed and unobserved.Avoid keeping card receipts or card data as far as possible. Dispose of old receipts in such a way that the data on them cannot come into the possession of third parties.Keep your terminal in a safe place outside store opening hours. Do not allow unauthorized persons to access the terminal. Report any suspected tampering with the terminal to the police and PAYONE immediately. Please note:For all card transactions (purchase, reversal, credit), make sure that you keep the receipt marked as a merchant receipt for yourself. Only this receipt contains important data for any subsequent bookings or information about the cardholder.
Cleaning instructions
Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the terminal.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents containing isopropyl alcohol.
The card reader unit should be cleaned with suitable cleaning cards as required. Cleaning cards are part of the PAYONE cleaning set, which you can obtain directly from PAYONE.
Manipulation by opening
There are repeated attempts to manipulate POS terminals by opening them in order to gain access to the cardholder's card data and personal identification numbers (PINs).
It goes without saying that all PAYONE terminals comply with the current guidelines of the German Banking Industry (DK) as well as the security regulations of the international card organizations and PCI DSS.
Please note:Only operate your terminal with the original power supply unit. If you attempt to open the terminal housing, the integrated electronics will be destroyed and all sales will be deleted.
Possible system messages
The card-related error messages come from the authorization system of the card used. Only the card issuer can provide information on the accuracy of the messages.
If the card is declined, please always pay attention to the additional text from the card issuer. It can give you important information on how to proceed.
